Care Guide

Caring for your clothing is crucial to ensure you get the most out of them. By taking care of your equipment and clothes you can extend their lifetime and ensure they function and last longer.

GYMNASTIC GRIPS

  1. Clean them regularly: It is important to clean your carbon gymnastics grips after each use. Use a damp cloth to wipe off any chalk or sweat.

  2. Avoid exposure to moisture: Carbon grips should not be exposed to excessive moisture or water. Store them in a dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat.

  3. Use grip brush: You can use a grip brush to remove any excessive chalk buildup from the surface of the carbon grips. Be gentle and do not use a lot of pressure as you could damage the surface and the 'stickyness'

  4. Don't use harsh chemicals: Harsh chemicals like bleach or alcohol can damage the carbon material. Stick to mild soap and water when cleaning your carbon gymnastics grips.

  5. Don't leave them in your gym bag: Avoid leaving your carbon grips in your gym bag after direct use. This can cause the grips to deteriorate quickly. Instead, store them in a separate compartment or a dry, ventilated area.

 CLOTHES

  1. Read the care label: Before washing your functional fitness clothes, always check the care label to see the specific instructions for washing and drying.

  2. Wash in cold water: Our clothes should be washed in gentle machine wash i.e. 30 degrees Celsius, as higher temperatures can damage the fabric and cause shrinkage.

  3. Use a gentle detergent & no fabric softener: Use a gentle detergent that is free of bleach and fabric softeners. These chemicals can break down the fabric and reduce its effectiveness. Fabric softeners can leave a coating on the fabric that can reduce its breathability and moisture-wicking properties.

  4. Air dry: Avoid putting your clothes in the dryer, as high heat can damage the fabric and cause shrinkage. Instead, hang them up to air dry for yourself and the environment.

  5. Store properly: Store your functional fitness clothes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Don't leave them crumpled up or bunched together, as this can cause wrinkles and damage to the fabric.

SPEED ROPE

  1. Adjust the length correctly: When using a speed rope, make sure that the length is adjusted correctly for your height. This will help prevent unnecessary wear and tear on the rope.

  2. Use on suitable surfaces: Speed ropes should be used on suitable surfaces such as gym mats or wooden floors. Avoid using them on rough surfaces like concrete or asphalt as this can cause damage to the rope.

  3. Avoid tangling: Try to prevent the rope from tangling during use as this can cause kinks or knots in the rope, making it less effective. To avoid tangling, keep your arms close to your sides and use your wrists to flick the rope.

  4. Clean regularly: After each use, wipe down your speed rope with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or sweat. This will help prevent the buildup of bacteria and prolong the life of the rope.

  5. Store properly: When not in use, store your speed rope in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid leaving it in a twisted or knotted position, as this can cause damage to the rope over time. Instead, coil the rope neatly and secure it with a rubber band or Velcro strap.
